In the fairy tale Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, every day the Wicked Queen would ask "Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?" The mirror would answer "Oh My Queen it seems to me, there is none fairer in the land than thee!" As long as the mirror said that she was the most beautiful of all women, all was well in her world. The dreaded day finally arrived when the mirror replied that a young beauty named Snow White, with skin as white as snow, lips as red as the red, red rose and hair as black as ebony had surpassed the Queen's beauty. We all know what kind of frenzy she sent herself into. In her rage, she hired a hit man to do her in. *lol*
I know all of the ladies here have seen Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs when you were a Princess --Just a little visual analogy. Although this post is focused on the ladies, it is just as beneficial for the men. Peace and abundant light, continually.
Your Life is a Reflection of Who You Are
You know, in each of us there is a wicked Queen, let’s call her Ego. We also have a beautiful Princess within, she shall be called Flower. When we are no longer allowing Ego to have dominion over us, positive change can take place, thus the blossoming of a Flower occurs, with the fragrance so vibrant, pleasantly sweet and inviting --the substance of what a true Queen is made of. I came to realize this a long time ago. I am definitely guilty of allowing Ego to dominate my being and placing blame on someone other then myself. If things were not going just the way I wanted them to be, it was always the fault of others. I couldn’t get this done because I had to do that –Or, why is it that this person cannot get along with me? Instead of asking myself, why can’t I get along with this person? No, it has to be the other person at fault here; refusing to accept that perhaps it could be me. In order to overcome the finger pointing, fault-blaming and the criticizing of others we all need to go into our little quiet places to reflect on ourselves. We play a part in various situations of life’s stage and how we act depends on how well we know ourselves within.
When we look in the mirror the person staring back at us is who and what we are. The mirror is our world. As we gaze into the mirror and we see a world filled with self-hate, we need to begin a healing process. However, if we see a world filled with beauty, peace and love, then we are on the right track, walking in righteousness --this is what we will project around us. Using the mirror as a concept for this post may not sit well with some; simply because many of us wish not to face the true self. In order to take advantage of reflecting on whom we truly are, our own blue print --healing ourselves within, all the negativity will need to cease. Slow it down and let go of all that hinders you.
We need to look long and hard, directly into the eyes, searching the soul of the person staring back at us. Get to know this person, for each day, throughout the day, that is the face we will see reflecting back at us. Everything we perceive originates from within. Tap into the source of what rests beneath the surface of your being. But know this, We Are What We Reflect!
As we come to a greater acceptance of our lives and purpose here, we will come to see the true beauty that lies within.
