How is it that we can be so consistent with inconsistency? How is it that so many of us manage to procrastinate when it comes to doing things that will be healthy for us and make our lives more productive, but we are fast to act on the things that usually don’t do us any good? I believe that this comes from living in a box.
When we live in a box, we quickly get used to and comfortable with things that others have tagged the norm. We become afraid to try something new; for fear that we will be labeled an outsider. Well, I would surely rather be that instead of acting upon conformity. I mean, the Creator made all of us different so why mess with the blueprint.
I have noticed some of the inconsistency that we are consistent at and it bothers me.
We are consistent at judging one another, when all actually that isn’t our job anyway; we are consistent in tearing each other down by bad mouthing and gossiping, and that’s without even getting the chance to get to know one another; we are consistent in breaking down the family unit by not playing our roles as backbones to one another and not valuing, honoring the fact that family is important, i.e., we are more focused on being self-centered, not realizing that we can’t build a house with one wall. Being self-centered is only concentrating on that one wall instead of concentrating on the foundation that will hold the walls; we are consistent in complaining about a situation, but doing nothing to change it; we are consistent in settling for less when we can achieve much more. We are consistent in letting negativity rule our emotions and actions instead of soaking positive vibes and progression.
All of these things I have mentioned are INCONSISTENCY and we are CONSISTENT at them.
Now, I know some of you are saying, “what is inconsistency Diva?” Well, I’m going to tell you.
inconsistency - the quality of being inconsistent and lacking a harmonious uniformity among things or parts
Those acts that I mentioned above are constant for us. Although they are constant, we must know that they are still inconsistent. I bet you could probably name some of the inconsistency that you are consistent at in your own personal life right now! We all could.
I often wonder to myself will we ever break this cycle and become wise enough to know that it’s time to live outside of the box. It’s time to live outside of ignorance, and step into a world of knowledge; knowledge of self, knowledge of love, and knowledge of life.
I see so many talking about politics now, and I’m assuming because this coming Presidential Election is a major mark in history. But the question is this? How are we going to be consistent in changing the world, if we are still inconsistent in our spirits? So when we say “It’s Time For Change” I do hope that we are talking about within us as well. It’s time to try something new. Greet people with a sincere smile everyday; reach out to someone you see hurting and offer help; respect the family unit by raising your children to be the best they can possibly be by not limiting them. Instill in them that are NO BOUNDARIES and with dedication they can excel to higher limits. Husbands, Wives, Boyfriends, and Girlfriends, LOVE & RESPECT each other to the fullest. Learn to agree to disagree and LISTEN to each other; stop gossiping and judging and let people be who they are. Once we learn how to do these simple things, then we have definitely made a step in changing the world for the better.
Step out of the normal box that you are used to and LIVE…
FREE YOUR MIND!!!
Peace – Love – Light
