Barack Obama has made history being the first black nominee for President. He has a good chance of winning the election too. However, many blacks are still stuck. They believe he does not have a chance, "A BLACK MAN, please White America will not allow it or if he does win they are going to kill him." Have you ever heard this one? "My one vote is not going to make a difference. How about this. He is not going to do anything for black people. He looks slick, he's sneaky, I'm just not voting etc...
Black people this is what is keeping us down, holding us back. Negative attitudes, defeatism. We must relinquish this type of thinking if we want to go to the next level. Barack Obama must win the election so we can move forward. look at the condition this country's in. We need Change. How can you be black and not vote for Barack? Is the other candidate talking better policies, or a better choice? If Barack was white, would he be a better candidate? What about Jessie and Al?
If you take a minute and look around and see who is supporting Obama, Whites. He has more white supporter than black. This is sad to me. The race is close, too close. What are you going to do to help support Barack Obama?
Remember everyone loves Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. today. But did all blacks support and march with him in the 60"s. That's a story at another time. Remember to vote and encourage non voters to vote.
