Good Morning to you all,
Okay as many of you already know, I am working to start my own non profit youth center. Its hard work but its a dream of mine to work with children. Everyone knows I love children.
Lately, I've been browsing the net trying to think of new ideas for a curriculum for the center and I have become saddened by the number of websites dedicated to children and young men and women that have been murdered over plain foolishness. I believe this bothers me so much because I am trying my best to raise my daughter and niece to be a great young woman and two nephews into great young men. If these kinds of things are happening in our world now, imagine what things will be like when these babies (our babies) grow into puberty.
I have a plan. I am going to start a mentoring program. This program will target our young people. Let's face it, something is missing terribly in the lives of these kids. Maybe its the time that so many parents don't have because they need to work two jobs to make ends meet. Maybe its the hug that says, Baby, I'm proud of you. Maybe it the words that say "I know its hard but talk to me and I'll help you." Maybe its simply that fact that these babies want someone to reach out and hold them for a minute and CARE ABOUT THEM. Right now, all I need are your prayers.
Once I get the ball rolling on this, I may ask a few of you to volunteer your time and hopefully all of you will say yes. <<<
Seriously, this violence has to stop and if no one does anything about it, it never will. For the sake of my babies ( all over the world) I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure the future is brighter than what they have right now.
