You use the word Nig.... I used to hear that word used in a very negative manner while visitng my grandparents in Fl and South Georgia...

White men would call my grandfather boi and he would go to the back door - never rang the front door bell.

Of course, I thought that my grandfather was so much better than those name, illiterate, farmer who was their for his wife and children and sent them off to college and military... My Grandfather always expected greatness from us. He would always tell me that He wanted me to be a doctor... Education is important...

I understand your African Pride... I have that as well; i am very strong in my blackness and I love my people. Never ever would i degrade my race; if i did I apologize; I am still somewhat young... Dr. King died April 4, 1968. I was 4 years and 2 days old.

Living in New York... I had no understanding of race... I had to listen to the oral history and read the unlost history of my peoples struggle....
