Irma I have two community gardening spaces. One of them is in a greenhouse, which is super cool. There is no grass to pick and it's temperature controlled. The other one is serious work.
So, far I have planted tomatoes, cucumber, peans, two kinds of lettuce, collard greens, carrots. I am so excited everthing is doing really good. I used seeds with everything except the collard greens. I started out with a seed starter set I picked up at Home Depot.

I'll be in CA again towards the last week of June. Do you think we will get to meet at last my sister? I'd love to see your garden.

I guess I didn't tell you Irma that the house here has been sold and will close on July 15. I hope I did tell you though that I was accepted to the MS program, but I have 2 years in which to start, and because I am going to help my son with the grandkids so he can go to school, I will probably not start my own school as soon as I had planned. Everything is up in the air and also depends on the outcome of my disability hearing June 14. But I will spend at least a couple months in CA.

Irma I don't have a greenhouse. An organization here in Boston had open spaces in there greenhouse for people in the community. I tell you I love it. No grass to pull, no insects...it the ultimate gardening experience. But , the other space I have is should I say primitive. I have had to pull weeds, pick up litter, till...you name it. I definitely will work off some lbs doing this.

My lovely house plant did not make it...but the next one I get it will not suffer from the roots being packed like that ever again thanks to MIISRAEL. and my other gardening friends. (smile)

And, if anyone see our resident Doc let her know there are only a few more strawberry pickings for this spring crop of berries...black berries will be uup next and their season don't last long either. (smile)

I gather you state is a broke as ours is...Lately I see disability lawyers ads on tv...they say most people get turned down at least once so come to them...which is new for lawyers. Usually it is about accident the put in ads for. Good luck my brother and take each day at a time...

@Dorothy, you community greenhouse is fantastic...our are is having their first community gardens this year...they will have two of them...

Now this also is great as students and volenteers have begun a project of building garden boxes in front of local business wher they put in flowers and tomatoes and eating out of hand fruits and herbs. What a wonderful idea in helping get us back to natural foods while learning at the same time. All of the elementary schools have gardens in them to help teach the children.

It is all good. (smile)
