an open question on what seems to be an instutationnalized need to abose the Bible... Please go to your Bible and look up John 8:12, because this is what is being put on the scopes on the rifles of our military...the militay personal who will be using these rifles know that if they are caught by the enemy with this Bible verse then death would be better then this insult to these people as a people... Everyone does not CHOOSE to be a Christian and are willing to die for the right of FREEDOM OF RELIGIOUS CHIOCE... WAKE UP CHRISTIAN AMERICA TO ISLAM IS THE FASTEST GROWING RELIGION IN AMERICA FOR SOME REASON...THE SAME WAY THOU SHALL NOT KILL IS THERE FOR A REASON...

While talking amongst some brothers and sisters the other day and observing how they were reacting towards one another when we came upon that which we disagreed upon...I had a sort of epiphany. I've noticed that some of them refused to accept that others had a differing opinion from them and seeked to force them into agreement to the point that it no longer was about the actual doctrine but a personal test of will power or ego or something.
It also appeared that they seemed to spend a helluva a lot more time on that which they disagreed on rather than that which they did agree. This seems to be the problem the world over.
When coming upon a disagreement over a particular religion or politic, instead of intelligently and rationally debating and ironing out differences and then respectfully allowing others to go in peace....too often people automatically go full throttle into an emotional tirade and become argumentative and even down right violent towards those who disagree with them over certain religious or political positions and refuse to let it go.
I asked some of them, why can't you just tell the brother or sister where you think he/she is wrong and after that if he refuses to accept it....just leave him alone and let God correct him as He sees fit so we can move on?
Most of them couldn't answer it....didn't even understand where I was going. They felt is was their divine duty to correct the other and straighten the other out. Whether we're talking about Christianity or Islam. The Mormons or those who claim to follow the teachings of Minister Farrakhan.....it seems that some people just want any excuse to oppose, attack, and fight. Especially people of color.
While Blacks, Indians, Arabs, and others may do it...I rarely see Whites (Christian or Jewish) fight or argue over religion. It's as if they between themselves believe it's a "front" or "joke" anyway so they don't even bother trying to convince eachother anymore.
Do any of you honestly believe that even if we were to find a particular religion or even narrow it down to a sect and force everyone to adhere to that sect of religions beliefs......that there would finally be peace and agreement? Hell no, they'd STILL find something to fight and disagree over.
It's as if they say, "It's not enough for you to be apart of my religion....no....now you have to believe in it EXACTLY the way I believe in it and practice it EXACTLY the way I practice it and then perhaps.....maybe...we will get along and there'll be no disagreements"
Thus the problem may be in the solution! Maybe the problem itself is that too many people argue and fight over what they think the "solution" is and THAT'S what's causing so many problems!
Perhaps the West has it right all along. Perhaps the best society is one where people are free to have and profess their own opinions no mattter how outlandish they may seem without the fear of others picking up a sword or gun and trying to harm or kill them for it.
But what if everyone left the next man alone to believe in whatever he wished? What do you think would happen to the world?
Back to answering my own questions, I see... (LOL)

My opinion: This is a psychological issue. You will notice Harry always asks "Am I right?" Now if he knows he's right, he doesn't need to ask this question. People argue so hard for their position because they need that positive reinforcement. To answer your question, what would happen to the world if we left the next man alone to believe whatever? Something good, am I right? (smile)

It is a known fact that man likes to alter and change things around. As you know there were orginally only ten months to a year. Two months were added. In order for man to keep up with his cleverness he knows that septem=seven, octem=eight, novem=nine, and decem=10, does this mean that January and February are the two months that were added.
The question about Jesus name can be found in ancient books, because as you know man has recorded everything he knows, He just didn't intend for certain people to read his books.

Actually I do look forward to next week this time...
Clark .said months ago how our president has got to tell congress exactly what he wants and let them know he is serious...this "I" know he is going to do..."I" believe he trew a warning shot out when he said he was going to go after the TAX cheats..now if that is not declaring war on the big business world then America is as stupid /brain dead as we have been acting...
Our president has extended his hands out and America bit it...now all of the governments ,but our own has come out to help him..ofr have you not noticed that we are the only ones who have talked about our president and his administration to not help him help Haiti...(smile)
Hearing him say he is going after the big spenders, gave me total faith in our president...he is going to go it alone with his faithful and trusted people watching his back at all cost...

Thank you both for your comment...please pay close attention how the both of you used the words "I".
That one word "I" means only "I" AM THE EXPERT ON MY OWN SELF...but one of the hardest thing for that individual to be able to do is take full responsibility for ones own action THEREFORE MAKING NO USE OF THE "i"...there in lies things like if it does not go our way one can say, "It was God's will"..."my faith was not strong enough,ect.any thing / excuse to avoid bring ing about 'change' if it means working harder to make it happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I GOD TO VIOLATE GOD'S COMMANDMENTS BECAUSE I HAVE GOD ON MY SIDE...(smile)
this is why "I" find it so interesting that so few are willing to take ownership of John 8:12...but, this to is a form of not taking ownership of one's own life...
