Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech</span></span></span></p><p></p><p><b>Role Overview</b></p><p>As a <b>Test Equipment Engineer</b>, you will design, develop, and sustain advanced industrial-grade assembly and test equipment to support <b>New Product Introduction (NPI)</b> and manufacturing operations. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and compliance of our robotic surgical systems and associated accessories.</p><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li><p>Design, install, and maintain industrial control systems and test equipment.</p></li><li><p>Develop and assemble electrical and electromechanical modules and systems.</p></li><li><p>Support NPI and manufacturing teams by delivering high-quality assembly and test solutions.</p></li><li><p>Research emerging technologies and create test equipment from concept to production release.</p></li><li><p>Build prototypes and develop test fixtures for conceptual designs.</p></li><li><p>Document specifications, requirements, and compliance standards.</p></li><li><p>Troubleshoot complex malfunctions and resolve technical challenges.</p></li><li><p>Ensure adherence to project schedules and priorities.</p></li><li><p>Lead compliance and safety testing for electrical, mechanical, and optical systems.</p></li><li><p>Create, modify, and maintain hardware and software for new and revised products.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, and sales during product development.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Required Qualifications</b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s degree in Computer, <b>Mechanical or Electrical Engineering</b> or related field.</p></li><li><p>At least two to four years of experience in a regulated industry (medical device experience preferred).</p></li><li><p>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of manufacturing principles and project management.</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in problem-solving tools (Green Belt preferred) and statistical tools (e.g., Minitab).</p></li><li><p>Programming experience (Python3 preferred).</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with servos, actuators, industrial I/O devices, pneumatics, and robotics.</p></li><li><p>CAD knowledge (SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD preferred).</p></li><li><p>Six Sigma and process excellence methodologies.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Skills</b></p><ul><li><p>Business and financial acumen.</p></li><li><p>Strong presentation and collaboration skills.</p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p>Johnson & Johnson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
